Context, credentials, and lived experience behind Ariel’s work on Jewish life, mental health, faith, and disability.

About Ariel Rose Goldstein

Where Jewish life, mental health, faith, and the human experience meet.

I’m Ariel Rose Goldstein, a published writer, speaker, social worker, and historian exploring the questions that arise when life doesn’t go according to plan.

I write about Jewish life, mental health, antisemitism, faith, family, disability, healing, and justice, and about the complicated, deeply human work of finding meaning, belonging, and wholeness.

My work brings together research, Jewish tradition, professional social work training, and lived experience. I’m interested in the places where these worlds meet: where faith and psychology intersect, where personal experience becomes a larger story, and where difficult conversations can create space for greater understanding.

I believe writing can do more than inform. It can help people feel seen. It can give language to experiences that are difficult to name. And it can open conversations that communities sometimes struggle to have.

My Background

My professional background spans social work, Jewish history, writing, and community engagement.

I hold a Master of Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Touro University. I am a Licensed Social Worker in New Jersey and a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York, and I hold a New Jersey School Social Work Certificate.

I am a Hebrew speaker and bring a strong grounding in Jewish history and tradition to my work.

My writing has appeared in publications including Newsweek, the New York Post, Jewish Journal, Jewish Action, The Lehrhaus, JNS, My Jewish Learning, and the Times of Israel.

Writing, Speaking & Collaboration

I work with publications, Jewish organizations, communities, and other mission-driven organizations on writing, speaking, media, and collaborative projects.

Whether I’m writing an essay, developing a story, speaking to a community, or joining a conversation, my goal is the same:

to bring clarity, humanity, and meaning to subjects that matter.

If you have a story to tell, a conversation to begin, or an audience to reach, I’d love to hear from you
