A meticulously arranged writing desk in a quiet study, featuring a sleek dark-wood surface with a matte finish. At the center sits an open linen-textured notebook filled with dense handwritten lines, beside a fountain pen with a deep blue ink stain on its silver nib. A small stack of well-worn Jewish texts with cloth bookmarks anchors one side, while a ceramic mug with faint tea rings rests on a cork coaster. Warm late-afternoon sunlight pours in from a tall window, casting long, contemplative shadows across the pages. Photographic realism, shot at eye level with a shallow depth of field so the foreground is crisp and the background shelves blur softly. The mood is thoughtful, sophisticated, and intimate, evoking quiet reflection on faith, identity, and Jewish life.

Words That Shape My Work

As a writer and speaker who explores the intersection of Judaism, mental health, and the human experience in my work, I draw from Jewish wisdom, lived experience, and the insights of those who found strength in adversity, acted with compassion, and persevered after falling.

These words reflect the values at the heart of my work: resilience, dignity, courage, compassion, and the belief that even in moments of struggle, there can be a path toward healing and wholeness.

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

Helen Keller

Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

A righteous man falls down seven times and gets up.

Proverbs 24:16

The Eternal supports all who fall, and raises up all who are bent over.

Psalms 145:14

A cozy living room scene centered on a low, round wooden coffee table holding an open hardcover book about Jewish history, a spiral-bound journal with a pen resting diagonally across it, and a pair of folded reading glasses. Nearby, a delicate ceramic dish contains a few smooth worry stones in calming blues and grays, subtly hinting at mental health and healing. In the background, a soft gray couch is draped with a knitted throw blanket, and a tall bookshelf displays a blend of Jewish texts and contemporary titles. Diffused morning light enters through sheer curtains, creating gentle highlights and soft shadows. Photographic realism, shot from a slightly elevated angle with moderate depth of field, evoking a warm, introspective, and safe atmosphere for exploring family, faith, and emotional wellbeing.
